Public Works Advisory provides specialist property services to New Zealand landowners faced with losing land or land use rights to the Crown or another acquiring authority for a Public Work. The acquisition of land from you can be either by agreement or compulsorily, but always under the shadow of powerful acquisition rights conferred on the acquiring authority – particularly by the Public Works Act 1981.
